Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021. She'll be CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. She covers everything, including NASA, the Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of space tourism. Kristin was born into the field of space as the grandchild and daughter of NASA astronauts. For the last five years, she has covered space policies under Trump and Biden Administrations on FOX News. Over the course of her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trials and two attempts to prevent the corona virus pandemic, and two other administrations' efforts. The reporter also was on numerous trips with Vice President and President of the United States and was a part of a classified visit to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing in local TV news stations in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin as an experienced filmmaker, established Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentary-style films with clients like Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter, and her 3-year-old daughter in Washington, D.C.
